Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) nodes inherently feature limited transmission range. A recent solution to the long range problem is Collaborative Beamforming (CBF). The outcome of an ideal CBF process ought be a radiation pattern whose main beam oriented towards intended destination (WSN sink), increasing Owing random and complex nature WSNs, development use improved metaheuristic algorithms in essence. This paper delves into application Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm from perspective 3 dimension WSN configuration (wherein sink elevated nodes’ plane). modifications done on PSO entail fuzzy-adaptive confidence inertia weight parameters alongside particle culling procedure. modified has been christened Culled Fuzzy Adaptive (CFAPSO) algorithm. Comparisons against linearly-adaptive variant, basic Genetic Algorithm (GA) have established superiority proposed CFAPSO found generate beamsteering statistically identical that conventional beamsteering.
